It’s Christmas Cashmere-acle!
Posted on 12.11.07 to $50 and under by LindsayEver since the chilly winter air nipped my right in the bud this winter, I’ve been craving that which I’ve never had: cashmere.
Cashmere is actually quite an exclusive club. The fibers that create the wonderful wool must be 3.175 cm. long and under 18.5 micrometers in diameter! THE FIBERS! That’s some serious VIP action going on there. And, while most people think that cashmere is harvested (weird word to use there) from the Kashmir sheep’s belly or neck (where the finest fibers are), they’re actually from the saddle (back area) because the neck and belly are the dirtiest parts of the sheep.
…The more you knoooow!… I’ve always said there’s nothing more terrifying than a beautiful, educated woman. 
So whilst Christmas shopping today, I stumbled upon this magical material at Target of all places! And with only a $20 bill, I was able to buy myself this adorable Merona Cashmere hat.
I LOVE IT. It’s so soft, it’s just gorgeous… Everything I knew cashmere would be! And for a measly $20? I’d say hat well done.
