If you’re confused, it’s okay. Stacey Bendet is the head designer of amazing, swoon-worthy brand alice + olivia. While their stuff is a little out of my price range at retail… Her capsule collection of shoes for Payless is as close as I need to get to be totally smitten.

(Plus, any girl who goes to a BusinessWeek event looking fabulous, yet fiercely intellectual… Has my heart until I die.)

So, back to Payless. You might remember her insane (yet amazing) super neon platforms and polka dotted flats from last fall, yes?

Maybe it’s just me… But the cut of the rubber on the toe combined with the linen upper make me feel like this is a much more playful shoe that your typical “canvas sneaker”… It’s like resort-chic meets scruffy rebel.
