OFD: Doll Face

OFD stands for Outfits for Days. The premise is similar to that of a magazine feature where several garments are used to show how many unique outfits can be made without spending a load on new clothing. Typically, 7-10 pieces are included with 4-6 accessories, and we see how many getups we can make without reducing quality, getting bored, or repeating patterns.

As fall creeps up on us this September, the romance returns to us, as well. This means feminine details (ruffles, lace, embellishment) but in sultry fabrics in deep hues such as black, jewel tones, grays and pinks.

Today’s Picks:

OUTFITS FOR DAYS!

Little Miss Party

So simple, and so cute! You could really where this anywhere: from work to cocktails.
F21 Parker Cocktail Dress
Max Studio Ruffled Tuxedo Blouse
F21 Rib Knit Tights
Naughty Monkey Posh Bootie
ATRO Back to Jet Necklace

Casual Rose

This is just your basic coffee-with-friends outfit. Not too fussy, but still good in case who-know-who is at the grocery store when you’re shopping, or filling up their tank at the same gas station…
Twelve by Twelve Mademoiselle Cardigan
Charlotte Russe Lace Ruffle Top
Old Navy Skinny Jeans in Blue Black
ATRO Hazel Chains
Lulu’s Classified Rumba Pumps

Dark’n'Preppy

This is what it would look like if Blair Waldorf all of a sudden started listening to a lot of trip hop and worshipping Givenchy. Very clean and sleek, simple but noticible…
Max Studio Ruffled Tuxedo Blouse
Old Navy Pleated Satin Skirt
F21 Rib Knit TIghts
Naughty Monkey Posh Booties
ATRO Jet to Black Necklace
Twelve by Twelve Mademoiselle Cardigan

Date Night

Turn up the sex with a red top with black lace overlay. Stick with skinny jeans accenting your legs with the booties. Meow!
Old Navy Skinny Jeans in Blue Black
Naughty Monkey Posh Booties
Lulu’s Lola Top

Little Miss Posh

This might be my favorite getup out of them all. Experiment with multiple skirts and the result is a look so chic and smooth that you could end up front row Milan Fashion Week and no one would even bat an eye…
F21 Parker Cocktail Dress
Old Navy Pleated Satin Skirt
Naughty Monkey Posh Booties
ATRO Jet to Black Necklace
Twelve by Twelve Bow Belt

Chic Errands

Last, but certainly not least, the “sweatsuit alternative” of the set. This is ultra casual, and ultra comfortable. Leave the ruffled tuxedo blouse open atop the camisole for some extra ease, or button it part way for some extra shape.
Old Navy Skinny Jeans in Blue Black
Lulu’s Classified Rumba Pumps
ATRO Hazel Chains
GAP Ruffle Empire Cami
Max Studio Ruffled Tuxedo Blouse

xoxo.

Miss Elle, you are such a rock star. I’m no huge fan of the romantic look, but these outfits transcend! Brilliant. And hella better than the InStyle version, featuring pieces none of us can afford. ;)

I adore the Dark and Preppy look AND your comments towards it. A Blair Waldorf who listens to trip-hop…amazing! :D
