Classic Style: Spring Dress & Heels
Posted on 03.25.08 to $150 and under, $50 and under by LindsayIn the age of 2008, where women are wearing men’s clothing, and men are wearing jeans so tight that they look elastic… We have no choice but to value the original and unique. However, lest we not forget those classic combinations that brought us to this point: the trench, the winged eye, or just a simple spring dress with some heels.
Done correctly, you can evoke almost any era you want.
I was inspired by this photo taken by The Sartorialist on his trip through India:

She just looks timeless in her pink dress and strappy sandals. Perfect!
I wanted to find some of my own classic combos and present them to you all for your consideration – tell me what you think!
I wanted to stick with the sleeveless, structured dress with a hem just at the knee – like the lady’s above. This isn’t a post about LBDs either, so black is out of the question – so I rummaged through and found this:

Charlotte Russe Floral Double V Dress
$26.99
Worn with…

Charlotte Russe Satin T Strap Stilettos
$24.99
I love the idea of bringing out the beautiful red in the dress with some hot t-strap sandals!
However, if you can afford a touch more cash and a little higher quality… This is for you:
Generra dark green silk ruffle-neck dress from Bluefly
$245 $119.99
And complimenting the beautiful, earthy green with…

Steve Madden “REGIMME” in Brown Leather
$129
I love the slingback/t-strap on these shoes – I’m in love!
Enjoy these colorful, springy, classic combos!
xoxo.
