Literal Celebrity Ripoff #1
Posted on 04.20.08 to Uncategorized by LindsaySo sometimes I get e-mails from readers in all caps… “HOW DO I GET NICOLE RICHIE’S LIPSTICK COLOR?!” or “MAKE ME LOOK LIKE KATIE HOLMES!”, which I quickly read then work my butt off to find out exactly how I can find a cheap’n'easy version of mega-celeb’s looks for my beloved readers.
However, I also get e-mails screaming “I NEED HAYDEN’S DRESS. LIKE RIGHT NOW. PRICE NOT IMPORTANT.” Lots of caps, I know – passionate readers! So, despite the Broke & Beautiful lifestlyle’s mantra(s), I understand that sometimes… you just gotta have something.
Luckily, a little site called The Hip Chick can help you! They don’t display their clothes on mannequins… They display it on the celebrities who actually wear it! I admit, copying celebrity fashion purely because it’s “celebrity fashion” – so lame. So. Lame. But eying a celebrity and saying “Why don’t I own that dress?” is a different story. Turns out not everything they buy is ultra-expensive!
