My Tail Alone Could Tell You Tales…

Posted on 09.07.08 to Polls, Reviews by Lindsay

We women love to feel sexy. We need to! It’s important to our independence, our confidence, and our overall demeanor!

However, many women (I notice, as my life progresses) seem to think that “sexy” is the same as “scantilly clad with sexual overdrive“… Which is alright. If that’s really what makes you want to run your hands up your arms and touch your hair lustily, then awesome! But I have a feeling that many ladies feel that they’re only sexy if they’re desires… by someone else.

I want to share with you a secret weapon I use whenever I want to feel like a sultry, smokey-den-residing vixen. No, it’s not what you think (saucy!), but close…

The group is called Lovage. A downtempo, jazzy idea out of the genius head of Dan the Automator (think Del the Funky Homosapien, Gorillaz, Handsome Boy Modelling School) including vocalist Jennifer Charles and deep, sexy tones by Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle!). Their album, Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By is exactly as it sounds: saucy, surreal, and sexy as ****.

I introduce you to this secret weapon because I have a challenge for you:

In the comments, tell me what you wear, eat, listen to, watch… that makes you feel ultra sexy!

I feel extra sexy when I:

  • Listen to Lovage!
  • Find a super-high, but super comfortable pair of heels.
  • Dance!
  • Get my hair to the perfect volume.
  • Am home alone, and able to crank up Billy Holiday and sing into a wooden spoon.
  • Walk by myself downtown.
  • Drink gin & tonics!
  • Wear high-waisted pencil skirts.
  • Wink.

Well?

What makes you feel sexy?

xoxo (literally).

Oooh, I’ll have to check these guys out. Music is a key to making me feel sexy. Clothing that is fitted, and crafted from soft or slinky fabrics does the trick, too.
