Poll: Do You Order Internationally?
Posted on 12.29.08 to Polls by LindsayAs we’re well aware, there are simply billions of etailers (internet retailers) out there, many of which are from the US.
However, there are also many wonderful businesses that reside across the pond, such as ASOS.com and Topshop (hopefully opening in the states soon) which are both very popular. I tend not to toss items from International stores on to B&B because the idea of the shipping charges make me quake in my boots.
So I want to know – do you, or have you (or would you consider, for that matter) shopping internationally? I think I would, provided the shopping costs didn’t leave me homeless.
So?

Shipping is way too expensive, and with our failing economy, I try to keep my shopping local, or at least state-side.

At least you’re American! The Canadian dollar is tanking against the pound, the euro, and the greenback; I have to take into account exchange rates as well as shipping whenever I order something. Often it ends up being so expensive I don’t think it’s worth it.

Well, as I’m from the UK I don’t have to order internationally from asos and topshop (you might want to try river island and warehouse as well, they’re brilliant!), but recently my sister and I have fallen in love with lots of American retailers such as Old Navy and Forever 21. Now we’re trying to work out how to get them cheaply – international shipping rates are ridiculous

I would love to shop int’l more but many of the int’l etailers I have tried to purchase from don’t ship to US! I would love a list of int’l site that I could purchase things from – how would I find such a list? Thanks.

If I found a site that sold things that I liked at an affordable price, then I would probably shop online out of the US.
