Too much tuck?

See above. I can’t help but raise an eyebrow to the tucking mechanisms of this look. Tossing a belt around a billowy shirt is one thing, but a shirt that fits slightly loosely does not a “billowy shirt” make… You know?
So we have a belted cardigan over a pin-tucked shirt – acceptable, in certain circles… But what really keeps me blinking is the tucked in scarf… over the tucked in cardigan… over the tucked in shirt.
It reminds me of the Rodarte Spring ’08 collection… Some of you may know the dress that Natalie Portman wore to the Berlin premier of The Other Boleyn Girl.
Natalie Didn’t wear a belt, but the long, scarf-like drape is really similar.
I guess I could see that type of look working… but I’m skeptical. What do you think?

Even the thought of belting your scarf in with all your other layers is too much. I think I’d fear being strangled by the scarf that’s strapped to my stomach.
