What Do I Get… A Design-Conscious Lady

This is the first installment of B&B’s 1st Annual Gift Guide! Hooray!

I chose Design-Conscious Lady as the first gift-recipient because, well… I have one in my family: my Mom. I know I’ve been going on and on about my Mommy lately and I’m sure it’s because I’ve just moved 2,000 miles away from her and it’s weird! Mom’s always been right down the street, always happy to have me drop by whenever. Now that I’m in Chicago, I don’t know anyone, and no one can replace Mommy!

My mom is a home stager, which is essentially an interior designer that makes homes that are for sale look appealing to potential buyers, so they can envision what the interior will look like when it’s lived in. You can see whether a bookcase will look good against a certain wall, how a twin bed will fit perfectly in a bedroom, etc.

So getting something a design-conscious mother is certainly not an easy task, but it’s definitely fun. These gifts allow your natural creativity, sense of adventure and love for aesthetic (provided you have one) run rampant. Here are some things that I’d suggest getting for a design-conscious lady in my life (but I know my Mom reads my blog, so don’t expect anything from this list, Mom! I’m not that silly…):
