A Reader Recommends: Band-Aid Active Friction Block Stick

Posted on 02.04.09 to $50 and under by Lindsay

Miss jfount left me a comment on Comfort Does Not = Ugly regarding Band-Aid Activ-Flex Blister Block ($6.79), singing it’s praises.

Since I have the utmost faith in my readers/friends, I thought I’d share it with you!

I will throw in an endorsement for the Band-Aid blister stick stuff. A lot of my shoe discomfort comes from rubbing and raw spots, even in wide-sized or comfort shoes, but this product does a pretty amazing job of fixing the situation. I put it on even under tights or hose and it helps. I’ve heard that it’s basically the same product as what runners put on their nipples to prevent chafing; I dunno if buying at a sporting goods store is cheaper but I would definitely recommend trying it.

Chaffing nipples? I didn’t even know that was an issue… for anyone!

xoxo.

This stuff is AMAZING! I live in the city and swear by it.

I searched EVERY drugstore last spring and it was sold out! I bought the Dr. Scholl’s For Her Miracle Shield and it did the trick. It’s now a staple in my purse next to the stain remover stick.
