So, here’s my honest-to-God, deep, dark secret: I’ve never tried a pair of Havaianas. Please, please… Don’t go into more detail… I know their rubber is the most non-irritating to the toes… I know that they last forever… A friend of mine recently came into town and said “If there’s only one thing I buy while I’m visiting Chicago, it’s going to be a pair of Havaianas.” Confused, I said “Um, why? They’re from Brazil?” She said “Because I’m addicted.”
I said “Ok.”
So Havaianas are obviously a big deal – I get it. I don’t really have a good excuse as to why I haven’t invested in a pair, but here’s some good news…
They’re 30% off only if you click this link then buy.
Why? Because I’m an affiliate, and they send me deals that are specific to affiliates and hey! This is one of them!
Also, if you buy two or more pairs, you get free shipping.
As we peek around the summer corner into the blazing hell that typically is “August”, I can’t really imagine wearing gladiator sandals every day – all that leather, clinging to the feets and being all moist…
So, if you’re into it, go get some flip flops of high quality at 30% off.

“Wonder Woman” – $24.50 (was $35)

I owned a pair of Havianas for about an afternoon. Bought them when I was working at Urban Outfitters, and it was floor set, and I kept dripping paint on the floor near my precious good shoes. So I bought Havianas to wear during the painting, and they are the most god awful uncomfortable shoe I’ve worn.

Ashe: SERIOUSLY? That’s the first time I’ve heard anything negative at all! What was uncomfortable about them?
I bought a pair from Rugged Wear for $4. I am a teacher and ever since we have been out of school I have been wearing them. My daughter teases me about wearing them all the time. They are so comfortable. I still don’t see paying over $5 for rubber flip flops
Totally serious! It was that hard plastic thong in between my toes…. it hurt and irritated my feet so much, not to mention they just flopped around! This is also from a girl who doesn’t wear or own flip flops, so maybe I just had a bad experience.
Though I wore a girlfriend’s reefs once, and those… now those I could see why people wear!

Hi! First time here. =)
For the longest time I did not own a pair of Havaianas until recently. Heard a friend’s sister mention how she wore them for an entire day’s worth of walking through an amusement park. Saw them on sale at Urban Outfitters for $12 so I thought, why not? They’re ok I guess. They’re not awful or anything. Just a normal pair of flip flops to me.
I’m still a huge fan of Rainbow sandals/flip flops though. They are MOST comfy! So far, Havaianas are still my 2nd choice though =)
Hi, Elle,
Fist time on the comments. Really like you blog.
I´m from Brazil and I must say Havaianas are awesome. I remember wearing them since I was a kid. There all kinds of patterns and models, besides its very cheap here (about U$5 or less).
Another brazilian shoes brand I really like is Melissa http://www.melissa.com.br/blog/
