How do you know if your baby is ugly?

Now, I’ve never had a baby (and, honestly, I don’t plan to – where would I get shopping money?) but I assume that, after giving birth and coddling and all that gross cuteness, there has to be a point before the baby-unveiling (is there a word for this?) that you think…

“Oh my gosh… What if my baby is ugly, and I have no idea?”

Now, I’m sure my Mom didn’t think that… But I’ve had some ex-boyfriends whose mothers I have to wonder about.

Okay, Elle, where is this going?

I’ll tell you where it’s going.

Remember in the Fatally Feminine post, where I mentioned that I was working on a soon-to-be-debuted project with two lovely ladies? Well, it’s debuting! Right now! I’m debuting it right now!

My darlings, Jennifer Nicole (Awakened Aesthetic) and Birdie (Bonne Vie), have bound ourselves by our love for fashion, blogging, and our own unsolicited opinions and created a place where you can go to really talk about clothes – yes, the style, but more the crucial aspects of fit, sizing, proportion, and styling – meaning “How the hell am I suppose to wear this?” gets answered.

While we all have great blogs based on the aesthetic principles of style – and there are literally thousands more out there – we noticed that there was a void in the world of fashion: the basics. So, with our three extremely different body types and aesthetic appeals, our goal is to try the trends, the styles and the – well, everything – to make your fashion-based decision-making that much easier. For instance, our first (and, ahem, only) posts are all about sizing (and our experiences with it).

Also, when things don’t work on one of us, we will post pictures of it.

And you can definitely laugh.

So, I suppose I should relate back to the original topic of the post. I just revealed my baby to you, and I’m very nervous that it might be an ugly baby, but I love it, so I’m shoving it in your face anyway. HOLD IT, HOLD THE BABY!
