I know, I know – it’s January 16th and I’m already talking about spring. Don’t think I don’t understand how strange it must be, considering the right outside my windows, -8 degree air slowly frosts my windowpanes.
Trust me – there’s a reason for my sub-zero madness! Many of the fall essentials are going on sale as they become “unusable” in the frigid depths of winter. Fortunately for us, a new, slightly warmer season is upon us – perfect for some of these great fall staples!
Case in point: Short-sleeved turtlenecks.
They’re not quite warm-weather, not quite cold… They’ll keep you toasty warm beneath a jacket or dress, but also provide adequate temperence when you step inside a warm coffeehouse, restaurant or office.
I, personally, love them layered under… well, anything. Luckily, they’re amazing on their own with a statement (or simple) necklace; truly one of the most versatile garments available.

Turtlenecks are fab for under suits. I wear them a lot! Much easier than ironing. Thanks for this post
While I like the look, I’m not sure I understand the shortsleeved turtleneck. Or, worse yet, the sleeveless turtleneck. When it’s warm enough for short sleeves, it’s too warm for a turtleneck, and vice versa….
That said – I think I am purchasing the last one!! Supercute:)
OK, this is a piece than normally gives me pause … but the half-sleeves ones really are adorable. And I agree that they make a fantastic transitional piece.
