Get In My Pocket

Once upon a time, one of my favorite things to say to people was “Get in my pocket!” Best used when someone is being very adorable, very naive, or if you like to talk to your keys before heading out the door.

As the temperature on the west coast drops (some areas more than others – California.), I’m starting to shift my gaze from day dresses to cozy pants and utilitarian styles. Sweaters, cashmere, evening pieces, and boots – and of course, many, many pockets. I’ve always been a fan of the odd pocket – especially on something unexpected, like a proper box skirt, or a luxurious cashmere sweater. I see myself going into 2011 in neutrals & warmth and I’m feeling extremely comfortable with that.

This week, it’s all about pockets, for me. Everything except the boots is under $100! Click any item for more information.

GAP Silky Paper Bag Skirt: $39.99 TopShop Navy Kimono Dress: $100 ASOS Sheer Pocket Shirt Dress: $43.10 Aqua Cashmere Striped Hooded Cardigan: $94 ASOS Cotton Cashmere Playsuit: $37.93 Acne Highway Bootie: $629 Acne Highway Bootie: $629 DKNY Gillian Canvas Bootie: $140

What are you looking forward to, aesthetically, as the temperature drops?

  • Just found your blog through IFB. It’s my first visit and I’m loving it.
We can’t go wrong with pockets and those items are gorgeous, especially that silky paperbag skirt. I would take them all in pocket if I could! =)
