Maybe it’s time I accepted the fact that I absolutely love vintage-inspired clothing.

Every morning I gravitate to the same parts of my closet, peering at oxford shoes and cardigans, imagining how I can incorporate 1920s slips and thrifted jackets. My ultra-modern pieces serve as a compliment to my outfits, but they’re rarely the focus of them.

Until now, that vintage styling was mostly reserved for the office: belted dresses and tights, fabric shorts with lacy tops and pumps. Just recently, though, I’ve noticed that my vintage bent is seeping into my casual days, too.

These high-waist black jeans by Elizabeth Grace have become my “everything everywhere all the time” pants. They’re cigarette-style – tight, but not suck into your calves and ankles are your feet numb yet? tight – and they cuff perfectly over heels.

And this jacket. Can I tell you how much I love this jacket? It was double-thrifted (my friend thrifted it and then gave it to me) and whoever owned it before me is perfect, because their body and my body are almost exactly the same measurements. Thank you, previous owner, for having an awesome body, and for not throwing your jacket away when you were finished with it.

A close-up of the classic five-pocket details (Elizabeth Grace has tons of different styles, though, with unique stitching and hardware), the houndstooth pattern of the jacket, and a pretty pink lipgloss care of L’Occitane. (Review coming soon!)

This pose was Lindsay’s idea. She has the best ideas ever.
