Inspired By: Summer Style

Some of you might know (especially if you follow us on Facebook) that I am a blog fanatic. Not only do Jen and I collectively run five websites, but I personally follow (and stay up to date with) over 300 style blogs.

Endless inspiration, beautiful imagery, and fashion pornography are only a few of the benefits I receive by indulging in fashion blogs. They’re the Mocha Almond Fudge of my internet experience, except without the negative health risks of overindulgence. The only negative effects it could possibly have are wanderlust, severe infatuation, and excessive daydreaming.

Here’s what I’m inspired by this week:

Easy Summer Maxi Dresses

Elsie from A Beautiful Mess perfectly exemplifies my ideal summer style. An interesting-but-not-overwhelming maxi dress, a cute & super functional bag, and gorgeous, enormous hair.

Elegantly Messy Hair

No one wants to have an ultra-done ‘do in summer. It’s too hot, humidity is going to ruin anything you try to do, and summer is not the time to be sitting in your bathroom beneath an enormously hot hair dryer. Lily from LLMYRS has me swooning over here just-undone-enough style.

Easy Shirt Dresses

Maegan from Love Maegan always knows how to rock a frock, and this green, checked shirt dress has me goin’. I’ve always loved shirt dresses for their versatility, and one-piece-of-clothing-leaves-you-dressed abilities. Just add shoes and bag (and maybe a few accessories) and you’re out the door.

Maxi Dresses + Crop Tops

Such a fantastic silhouette! Carly from Chic Steals made this sheer, beaded crop to put over her F21 maxi and it looks darling. It definitely gives it a more formal feel, but you can’t deny the casual easy of a long, jersey dress.

What’s inspiring you lately?

Probably watching Netflix.
