Turning Boredom into Bedroom

Maybe it’s all the guilty-pleasure Gossip Girl I’ve been watching, but lately, I can’t seem to get the idea of boudoir-inspired outfits out of my head. This makes little to no sense in terms of weather… but I want my inside clothes to be outside clothes. What is going on?

Just the idea of silk in the winter makes me feel all 1970s Winter Romantic Comedy. I’ve always loved incorporating a touch of hyper-femme into my outfits. I was heavily inspired by burlesque at a young age, and fell for pin-up girls & Elvgren drawings in my teens… It’s the sauce factor! I love a good saucy nuance, and bedroom-wear turned grocery-shopping-wear makes me giddy with joy.
