The history of the peter pan collar is clearly a rich and… semi-subversive one! I was originally inspired to dig up said history once I realized that I was seeing collars everywhere. Not just on shirts and jackets, either. The majority of the collars that cross my path are coming by way of neck – in jewelry form. Similar to bib necklaces, but in cute, antiquated, collar shapes. I dig it, I think.
