Yep, I’m busted. I missed last week. I try to be so good at timing and consistency and all that jazz, but last week, the Small Space of the Week was totally blown off by yours truly.

That’s why, this week, I’m going to pull out the big guns and go for an EXTREME Small Space of the Week.

2 car garage turned into minimalist living space

What once was a two-car garage has since become a stunning, minimalist living space furnished with clean, modern furniture and rich wooden slats.

The design was created by French architectural firm, Fabre/deMarien, who successfully transformed the 441ft², boring garage space into this lush, squeaky clean dream-hovel.

I’m pretty happy with my one bedroom, one bathroom apartment in my vintage building – it can’t be more than 750ft² – yet this tiny, converted shed has more appliances and features than my “spacious” home!

  • Washing machine
  • Standing shower
  • Boiler
  • Dressing room
  • Patio
  • Loft bed
  • Convertible sofa (for extra sleeping space)
  • Office
  • Staircase
  • Skylights

…How many of those do you have? For this amount of space, and this much clean, open space – well, it certainly proves that anyone can live with less, doesn’t it? You could do a few other small items too such as a little corner sink.
