This season is kicking my ass. There isn’t enough coffee on Earth to prepare me for the next two weeks, but I’ll be damned if I’m not going to go through this un-caffeinated. No survivors of that situation, I promise.

There have been some really interesting and thought-provoking articles swinging through the ‘net lately. I’ve gathered my favorites up for you, as usual! Leave your faves in the comments if you want.

Happy holidays!

Bombino

“Back when rock ‘n’ roll was a rebellious art form, the guitar was its chief weapon. Those days are over in most of the world, but not long ago the government in Niger banned guitars for the Tuareg people, seeing them as just such a tool of rebellion. Bombino, born in Niger, plays a fierce, hypnotic, often electrified guitar. He sings song of the Tuareg, nomads spread across the Saharan Desert and surrounding countries. His second record, Nomad, was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.”

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

On that note, have a great weekend!

Probably watching Netflix.
