Wow, after spending time reading about and looking at this matte, pigmented lip balm from Revlon, I have become obsessed with trying it. This comes at a convenient time, because I wouldn’t be writing about it at all if it weren’t on a crazy sale at Ulta.

Usually when we see a tinted balm, it ends up being less tint and more balm. It either comes out really transparent, taking the idea of “tint” really seriously, or it is a glorified lip gloss. Either way, I find 90% of tinted lip balm experiences to be unsatisfying. I am not a regular lipstick-wearer because of the texture of most lipsticks – too creamy, or too thick, or worse than anything: too sticky. I much prefer the hydrating, soft feeling of lip balms.
And that is precisely why I must try Revlon ColorBlast Matte Tinted Lip Balms. I don’t put beauty products in Daily Deals without looking at the reviews first, and making sure that it’s worth paying for at all, and this one – wow. It’s pretty rare that I’m this impressed with a beauty product!

These matte tinted balms are part of the ColorBurst series by Revlon, which is full of highly pigmented, vividly bright colors that put other tinted balms to shame, according to most of the reviews I read.
Some of the colors aren’t quite accurately depicted by the tube color, as you can see from the video reviews, but all of the colors are beautiful, regardless. I particularly like how opaque the balms are. They get nice and bright with just a few swipes. The oversized crayon shape is also an attractant, as it’s easy to apply and doesn’t require any sharpening. Good for purses!
