I always find it odd that “festival season” takes place when Seattle is still cold, windy, rainy, and pretty damn dark. Do you know how many festivals occur in April here in the PacNW? Next to none. It’s not romantic when the rain you’re listening to your favorite love song in is accompanied by 15mph winds that lower the temperature from 49°F to 45°F. Yeah, not cute.

So when all this festival fashion stuff goes on sale in May… I’m all about it. Seattle’s biggest festival attractions over the summer are the NW Folklife Festival, Sasquatch Music Festival, and Bumbershoot. None of these have taken place at the time of this post. So all of that festival gear on sale? Seattle is eating it up.

Fortunately for those of us who love to wear sleepwear outside the house, most festival fashion items look like some form of lingerie.

This lace duster robe, aka “festival jacket,” from Painted Threads is on a screamin’ sale for 40% off, thanks to Coachella being over (thank God – least favorite music festival ever!):

PAinted Threads Lace Festival Duster Jacket

I have always had a love for duster jackets – light coats that fall just around the ankles or mid-calf. They are so elegant and make everyone look like they’re probably magical.

lace duster is even more exciting because it’s like a bathrobe, and a nightie in one! AND they encourage you to wear it outside! What a perfect garment.

You can find this little gem at Nordstrom on sale for a limited time! It also comes in a heavenly ivory color, if you’re looking to lighten up your summer lounging outfits instead of add some American Horror Story to your daily life.

Probably watching Netflix.
