It’s been a while since I let my love for wildly ostentatious shoes come out. It gets suppressed in winter because I don’t care to be that teetering lady, baby-stepping her way across the icy sidewalk on the way to the coffee shop in the morning. It’s not a good look on me, it’s not a good look on anyone. No one will judge you if you wear boots when there’s 2″ of certain death on the ground.

Wedges offer a little more support, but definitely not enough for me to advocate wearing them in wintry places, so these little gems – at least for me – would be something I’d buy for spring, and stare at with anime eyes between now and April.

Topshop Attik Wedges

I love big shoes. I don’t know what it is about them, but they make me feel like a superhero, or a robot, or a superhero robot.

These are the Topshop Attik Wedges and, while there are six styles available to choose from priced at $130, there are four styles available for freaking $30.

I don’t know why, I’m not asking questions, I’m just staying quiet and proceeding with gleeful caution. By the way, none of those four styles are blend in with the crowd styles. At all.

Stormy blue crushed velvet, textured pewter, royal blue [real!] suede, and glittery black tapestry… What more could a girl ask for?

In all of the model photos for these shoes, they’ve styled them with short, or a skirt… something above-the-knee. When I first saw these, all I could think of was pairing them with the skinniest, darkest jeans I could find and just wearing a leather jacket on top with a graphic tee. That is probably my ideal outfit.

And yes, I need one of these in each color, thank you.

Probably watching Netflix.
