It’s been a savings-filled and wildly indulgent three weeks for loyal Ulta shoppers. The annual 21 Days of Beauty event has been offering up cult favorite beauty products at around 50% off, and this last week will round out your makeup bag nicely.

As a finale, Ulta is cutting the prices of brands like Laura Geller, Smashbox, Stila, & Philosophy.

Also included in this week’s roundup: Anastasia Beverly Hills. For those who don’t know, Anastasia Beverly Hills is the #1 go-to for everything eyebrows.

Along with all of the info needed to relay killer beauty deals to you guys, Ulta also sent along a few of the products that would be featured in the sales. I figured, instead of hoarding them all to myself and swimming in a (very small) pile of mascara, why not actually review the products that are about to be for sale…? That way, maybe you can, I don’t know, decide if you want it or not. Logical!

So this Anastasia Beverly Hills company has been on my radar for a long time, but hasn’t ended up in my hands until now. Years ago, I decided to dedicate more attention to my eyebrows, since I actually have them and they’re kind of thick. Five years ago, I started perfecting my brow shape – an action that was inspired by repeated viewings of Gilda. That much Rita Hayworth will send anyone straight to the tweezers. (Fun old Hollywood fact: Rita Hayworth is half Spanish and has dark, dark hair and a prominent widow’s peak that was tweezed to make her look more American Bombshell!)

It took a really long time to get good at recreating the same arch over and over along with hair growth cycles (wow, what a sexy phrase). But what happens after you have a perfect shape? Anastasia is what happens.

Tarte Mascara-1

These are my eyebrows naked. No nothin’! Maybe a little tinted moisturizer by accident, but nothing intentional!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Genius Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Genius Review

After Anastasia Beverly Hills Bold Brow Kit, which comes with a dual-color compact, brow gel, and a brush wand. Tiny difference, incredible effects! I still have to work on where to use color and how best to apply, etc., but I am really enjoying the extra definition. One thing I’ve already noticed: having really defined brows makes a lot of other makeup feel unnecessary.

In the same way that you usually direct the focus to your eyelids or your lips, directing attention to your beautiful eyebrows means toning down everything else. It’s a nice, lazy way to look put together, and that’s my bread & butter.
