There are thousands of apps out there that promise they’ll fill your phone with money- and time-saving coupons with no strings attached. It’s a tough market out there, and the standards for apps are extremely high. If you don’t have high functionality and a slick design, good luck getting noticed!
Shopular is a shopping app that offers you what I basically consider a condensed version of your inbox. If you subscribe to newsletters for the up-to-date discounts (which you should), you know that you eventually drive yourself insane with conflict over which of the 25 daily shopping emails you’re willing to put up with. What if you miss a sale?! FOMO!
Shopular condenses all of these sales, along with special discounts and giveaways, in a feed available on your phone. To minimize clutter, you only see sales from the brands and stores you love. I chose a mix of fashion, home goods, and… um, food. (Hey, if Costco is having a sale, I want to know about it.)
There are many national and international brands available to follow. Target, Nordstrom, Crate+Barrel, Best Buy, See’s Candy… All the important ones are there. Plus dozens of others, of course. If you’re into that.
It’s more than just a list of sales, too. Shopular really goes the extra mile to let you know that they’re interested in serving the consumer, not the business. On sale pages, they give you the nitty-gritty right up front. The fine print and the exclusions are easily visible to make sure you maximize each sale.
All in an easy-to-read, slick app.
I also entered a giveaway for a $200 gift card to Williams-Sonoma. It just popped up in my feed! I clicked the “Enter” button and it took me to a page that assured me that my information wasn’t being misused or sold and then… I was done. Easiest potential $200 I’ve ever made.
