Dedicated: Best Celebrity Gowns from 2016

Red carpet fashion is one of my guilty pleasures. As a budget fashion blogger, ogling high-end designer gown is definitely not something I should make a habit of, but I can’t resist all of the sparkle and expensive fabrics. There’s a part of me that would love to own a super-formal gown like a red carpet gown someday, but I have no idea where I’d even wear it! Plus, I’m not sure I could let go of the thousands of dollars on the dress’s price tag.

Many of you guys know how not into knockoffs I am. Selling a fake product under an authentic brand’s name is wrong, and frequently accompanies labor abuse and obviously copyright infringement. Something, I’m less upset about is products that are inspired by high end designer merchandise. I mean, what is affordable fashion if not an interpretation of current trends, right? When it comes to red carpet gowns, has an incredibly clever and inclusive business model. actually offers dresses that are almost identical to the designer gowns from the runway, but in sizes that no high end designer would ever consider including in their exclusive collections! Not only do they offer sizes 2-24W, they recommend sending in your custom measurements for free to get the most perfect fit possible. Want a different color? No problem, there are like 25 to choose from. Aaaaand they cost about 80% less than the designer versions. YES PLEASE.

Also, the prices on StarCelebrityDress always includes custom measurements, color choice, and free shipping, so the price you see is the price you pay!

They don’t offer every dress from the red carpet, but they offer the ones they can draw inspiration from and recreate for people of all walks of life. (I’m sure drag queens everywhere are bookmarking this site right now.)

Here are some of my favorite dresses from last year (& offers an interpretation of all of them)!

Rosie Huntington-Whitely at the Golden Globes

How does she honestly look like that? Rosie, honestly. You are too gorgeous. And in this chiffon-y, floaty dress, it just makes her look like a goddess! Since StarCelebrityDress offers color customization, can’t you see this dress working so well in deep, hunter green? You could also take it an entirely different direction and have it made in virginal white and get married in that ish! It’s the most expensive dress on this list by far, but I couldn’t resist adding it. StarCelebrityDress price: $349

Taylor Swift at the Grammys

As far as head-turning dresses go – this is at the top of the list. When I saw T-Swift on the red carpet in this unbearably fun two-piece gown, I kind of died. I’m not even a big fan of hers at all, but this is one of my all-time favorite formal looks on a youthful person. (She’s almost my age, but I always think she’s 20.) Mixing up the colors on this gown would be soooo fun! StarCelebrityDress price: $169

Zuri Hall at the Oscars

It’s hard to hate a deep red, strapless gown – especially on such a beautiful skin tone! This is so form-fitting but when it fits right, it’s one of the most comfortable styles you can wear. StarCelebrityDress price: $175

Emma Stone at the Golden Globes

My favorite thing about this dress is how simple it is. Not only do peach formal gowns totally entice me, but a good rear view is one of my favorite things. The open back on this is absolutely gorgeous. Couldn’t you imagine it in powder blue? StarCelebrityDress price: $139

Emily Ratajkowski at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party

She looks gorgeous in this! I love her brazen style, and this sheer skirted strapless down is incredibly beautiful with her skin tone and shape. I’d love to see it in peach! StarCelebrityDress price: $189

Olivia Wilde at the Oscars

One of my biggest all-time celebrity crushes: Olivia Wilde. Ever since she was on the OC! I’m so happy that she’s still around to beautify the red carpet with gorgeous, pleated confection dresses like this one. The back (another hot rear view!) reminds me of gladiator costumes. So tough but soft – aka perfect. StarCelebrityDress price: $179
