I’m a new reader of your blog and am really enjoying it! Especially as a girl on budget. I’m definitely a flipper, but I do have a soft spot for InStyle - been reading it for years, and love that they always have some affordable options inside. Keep up the great work!

Haha. Lately around here it’s not the snow that’s worth worrying about, it’s the ice! We’ve had two bad ice storms within the last two years, both resulted in the electric being out for a long of people for a week or more. Your LOLcat comment made me think of it because when we were sitting at Hardees during one such outage surfing the interwebs we came across this:

Shop Etc was as GREAT magazine. I have yet to find a replacement for it. I loved how it displayed similar outfits and beauty products in high, medium, and lost cost options. I cannot express suitably how much I loved, loved, loved it. I still mourn it.

That was basically my uniform last winter: sweater dress, thick wool tights and high leather boots. I stayed warm and I looked fabulous! This is a look that can get a little too warm, so if you plan on staying indoors most of the day, try for a thinner tight. Those thick ones can get itchy!
