Or, at least, do you want to be?
When winter rolls through, I become instantly more attracted to iced-out pastels like sea-foam green and cornflower blue… I’ve always loved the ethereal look (a la Liv Tyler in Lord Of The Rings style), and every girl goes through the princess/goddess stage. Some of us just stay there longer.
I’ve used Polyvore (new addiction!) to create a couple looks that really exemplify the idea of winter-glam for me… The only thing I couldn’t include was the fabulous makeup palettes that accompany the beautiful, shimmery/shivery season.
I made one dress-styled outfit, and one with drool-worthy wide-leg pants and a beautiful chiffon top. Oh, and I couldn’t resist that light grey funnel-neck coat… I just LOVE funnel-neck ANYTHING! They look so cozy.
I stuck mainly with gray as the neutral because, well, gray is hot. Gray is the new black, white, and khaki. The Nine West peep-toe mary janes I paired with the dress are simply gorgeous, and I might have to run out and get them for myself.
Especially since those Nine West Luminous Pumps are on sale for $39.99!
I encourage you to experiment with this color palette over the season… A lot of people say/think they can’t wear icy pastels for whatever reason, but I say screw it! (Excuse me.) Give it a shot, anyway. Keep the tags on. If you really can’t stand yourself in a beautiful blue-toned, soft color – then maybe you’re right. But it at least deserves a try.
Try new things! But be careful, you might like it.

Such a good tip! I tend to wear all black in the winter months... this palette would be a refreshing change for my 'drobe. UMM and thanks for getting me hooked on Polyvore! Can't stop playing!
Oh... Blame GALA for getting me hooked! It's got like... EVERYTHING on it! Hope you don't have an office job! ;)
