The list, which I’ve honestly been writing since early summer, is finally getting long enough to justify actually purchasing some of the items on it. Much to the chagrin of my boyfriend, bank account, and impending move (hey, this is a bargain blog, not a financially responsible blog…), I fully intend to acquire each and every piece on this list, come hell or high water.
Translation: Don’t get in the way of my fashion listing.
The Amazing Fall/Winter ’08 List!
- A Dress With Pockets
I’ve been wanting one of these for so, so long. All of the gorgeous ones seem to be so expensive! I fell in love with the idea when I saw Liv Tyler in a Stella McCartney sack dress @ the premier of Iron Man.
Stella McCartney
Robert Rodriguez Pocket LBD – $515 $309 - Silver Flats!
I’ve wanted these since probably Spring… But have just forgotten so many times since. They’re so neutral, but so sleek. I love them under jeans, or trousers. Even skinny jeans!
Kenneth Cole REACTION Women’s More For Me Mary Jane Flat – $23.69
I love the tough-chick look of the hardware on these… And the not-too-shiny silver makes them eternally wearable. - A-Line Skirts GALORE!
A-line skirts are ultra-flattering for us hourglass girls… And I want tons! They can be casual, paired with a tee, or fancified with a tucked in blouse. Yummy!
Vince Full Pleated Skirt – $240 $120 - A Modicum of Colored & Patterned Tights
This is nothing new… This trend has been ablaze since springtime and I finally snuggled into my seat on the bandwagon. I purchased a pair of heather gray and a pair of cobalt blue tights from Ross (Brand: Hue!) for about $7.50 per pair and fell instantly in love. If you’re a girl with some insecurities about your body, these will make you feel amazing about your legs because people aren’t looking at your -legs-, they’re looking at the vibrant color that makes them stand out… in a good way.
Nylon Spandex Sexy Tights Hosiery Leg Wear
These come in eleven different colors for $6.89 a pop at Amazon! Perfect! - Good, Versatile Rubber Boots
I’ve never experienced life in a town that doesn’t completely shut down at the SIGHT of snow… Chicago doesn’t work like that. So it’s high time that I invest in some boots. No, they’re not stylish. No, they’re not flattering… But they have to work with my life and style. So I want Sperry Top-Sider Women’s Pelican Waterproof Boots. Endless for $59.95 $32.97
- BB Dakota Draegon Knit Dress from Lulu’s – $50
I love the color and cut of this dress. It’s not too long, it’s not too short, and the neckline is aces.
- Cute, Oversized, Knit Berets from F21 – $8.80
It doesn’t get more winter-y, cozy, or lux than this.
- Thick Over-The-Knee Socks from Sock Dreams – $10 each
Hands down, Sock Dreams is the best, best place to go if you’re a sock/stocking fanatic. They have so many different colors & styles, you’ll just go insane. I want some over-the-knee socks to wear beneath jeans and boots, definitely. I think they look best in “natural” colors, personally.
- A Heavy-Metal Handbag
Studs, chains, zippers and rings… All are hugely popular for handbags right now and I want in! I fancy myself as having a bit of a “tough chic” aesthetic, so this fits in perfectly!
Geneva Studded Clutch – $50
There are definitely more items to be added to this list… But these are the tops.
What’s on YOUR fall/winter wish list?
xoxo.

EEEEE! Rain boots! The boots you're showing there are basically rain boots, no?
They look like they've got some good traction (hello ice and snow!) and those socks will be good insulation.
I wonder if Chicago winters are very much like MT winters?
