I’ve decided, because it’s November now, that you’re probably all thinking about Christmas.
From my 24 years of experience, I have found that these meet, if not exceed, all expectations for stocking stuffers.
Carmex
Carmex is the tingly-lip-making, super thick, blanket of healing care that you can offer [me] on Christmas. It is like $2, and it lasts forever. I’m very much a purist when it comes to nostalgic things, so I kind of hate the new design on the lid of the pot, and I’m am very anti-squeeze-tube, but Carmex is still the best lip balm ever. 2nd place goes to DCT.

Liquor-filled Chocolate
I’m not kidding. It’s not Christmas, to me, without these little guys half-melted in my stocking. Plus, you buy one gigantic set/bag/cabinet? of them for around $30, and you have stuff for everyone in your family, house, apartment, whatever! What good friend doesn’t appreciate liquor and chocolate? If they don’t, they’re not really your friend.

If you don’t subscribe to the belief that Satsumas were put on Earth to fit perfectly in the toe of a stocking… Get out.
Fingernail Clippers
Tell me who doesn’t need these at some point in their life. Moreover, tell me one person who has needed them and found them, immediately. No one. They’re never in the right place when you’ve got a hang nail. Help your fellow ladies and gentlemen out buy stocking them up on some $2 fingernail clippers.

Panties
No, I’m serious. Hear me out, hear me out – panties are, like, the best gifts for stockings. Think about it – cheap, definitely useful, compact, flexible, wrappable… What’s not to love? My Mom & sister are bigtime undie-exchangers. I’m just getting in to the whole idea, but I’m learning quickly.

Stockings are a big deal on Christmas – the biggest, to some families! My family always made sure that everyone got stuff that was tailored to them, their personalities, etc… It was a production!
I always loved to watch people go through their stockings because you can always see that look on their face, anyone’s face – doesn’t matter how old, that just says “Man, I cannot WAIT to get in there.” Such a good look.

The stocking is pretty much the ONLY part of Christmas gifts I've ever loved. You could drop all of my goodies in to it, and I wouldn't care if I didn't have a gift under the tree.
The best stocking I ever had was from the fella's family. It had stamps, cold medicine, band-aids, first aid cream, chocolates, peanuts..so many goodies like that. I think the stamps & meds were what really won my heart though, because who DOESN'T need those?
Second runner up goes to my mother, who filled it with about $100 in make-up and beauty goods a few years ago. Love.

Last year, for Christmas, all we got was stockings. My mom and I went to the dollar giant and grabbed everything that caught our fancy. She made me stuff the stockings.
It was lame. But I still love stockings. We usually put magazines in our stockings, one per stocking. And chocolate.
Definitely chocolates, nail polish, band buttons, and drafting pencils/leads.

Ahhh, thank you Miss Elle for many many smiles! You made my day! normally I don't enjoy thinking of all the obligations we all deal with at Christmas. But the stocking stuffers! That's a definite mood elevator - thanks!
Since we are all adults in my family we all contribute to the filling of stockings. I have made it a habit to add scratch off lottery tickets. Last year my mom won $25! Not too bad in a stocking.
