Thursday mornings are such a tease.
I see my semi-casual outfits, just sitting there, taunting me. But there’s one more day of Big Business Clients before then (I’m still stuck in a “day job”), and that means one more day of what my friends have referred to as “Adult Jen.”
And Adult Jen can’t wear her oversize sweater, oxfords and jeans until Friday.
Luckily, I can make do.
That’s right: if I want to wear a comfortable sweater, I will wear a comfortable sweater. You can’t stop me.
I almost wore this outfit with a pair of nude four inch platforms…but seriously, Thursday. Besides, after comparing the heels in the mirror, the boots just fit better. Drapey sweater, poofy bubble dress…slouchy boots. Like peanut butter and chocolate, these things are just meant to be.
I realized, during the first few moments of taking these photos, that the necklace I’d worn all day was nowhere to be found. Good job, Jen.
I also realize that the boots kind of blend into my tights (which are made of bamboo, yay!) but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get a good shot of them. They’re just like most other slouchy boots, so I have no doubt you can imagine their slouchiness.
So comfortable. So Thursday.
PS: I apologize for my complete inability to take a decent, unblurry photo. I’m working on it, I swear.
