Creature Comforts

I’m not going to lie to you – in the winter, the number of fucks I have available for dressing myself… drops. I’m going to be wearing a wool coat 80% of the time, anyway, so instead of that ambitious skirt/leggings/boots/cardigan/hair-did intentions, I usually end up with something like this:

Fortunately, thanks to people like Katie Holmes who put effort into their wardrobe, I can make “PANTS.  SWEATER.  JACKET.” seem like an eloquent, sartorial thought (as opposed to a display of the clothes I found on the floor).

I was initially caught by texture here. More specifically, “SHINY COAT.” followed closely by “FUZZY SHIRT WOW.” This outfit fits perfectly into my Phashion Philosophy: looks pretty, feels like pajamas. If it looks well-thought out and I could fall asleep in it, I want it on my body.
