Linkasaurus 7.10.2011

it’s only been 900 years since the last Linkasaurus roamed the Earth. Fortunately, scientists were able to salvage some of their HTMLDNA and have recreated the species, cloned a few, and lent them to us to use for our own diabolical plans.

…Like showing off our favorite articles from around the web. They are super good for that. In fact, that’s all they do. (Not very diabolical, I guess.)

Ever wonder which drugstore cosmetics are actually worth it? Refinery29 compares cheapie buys to designer brands. Off to the drug store we go…

Blog-crush, Cartoon Heart, rounded up her favorite nails of the week – I’m a bit smitten with glossy black tips on a matte black base! Maybe a July Challenge opportunity…?

Sometimes, I’m really amused by the things people think about & decide to post. For example: Can Kate Middleton bring back PANTYHOSE?! Newsworthy!

Jane at Sea of Shoes made a list of 10 movies full of style inspiration. Love that! I’m always on the lookout.

SelfishStyle.com has priced everything in their shop under $10 – yikes!

Jeffrey Campbell released their F/W 2011 lookbook… Are those velvet damask boots I see?! I might need to have them…

I’ve been glued to My Style Pill this season – she’s got the best summer style I’ve seen in a while!

We loved watching Mary from Fabulous On A Budget spruce up her front yard for a few bucks! What a cute little house!

I looooove both of these bags that Budget Babe found – black & white & beautiful!

Also from Budget BabeLauren Conrad’s new lookbook for her Kohl’s line! (Hello, maxi dress…)

In other news, I still have a crush on Keiko Lynn. That is all.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Here is a creepy photo of me and Jen to help you along your way:

Lindsay: Probably watching Netflix.

  • hey ladies...just moved to capitol hill: where do i shop for cute, chic clothing, must be able to fit my plus-size-ish curves...any tips?

    • Oh wow - you're in the center of a GREAT shopping neighborhood!! Spun Collective is a sustainable, organic shop with a ton of local designers. Spun also has a line that's really affordable and fits all shapes! Here's the address:

      1515 14th Ave
      Ste A
(between Madison St & Pike St)
      Seattle, WA 98122
      http://spuncollective.blogspot.com

There's also a place down by Cafe Vivace (which you also MUST go to - best coffee in Seattle!) called Panache - it's a white building and you will DIE when you see the prices. SO. GOOD.

Then there's a cute boutique called Aprie (which we spent a LOT of time in....) and their sale section (in the back) is KILLER. We are both pretty stacked i the chest'n'booty department and scored at all three places. Plus, the Buffalo Exchange up there is always good for a browse.

Have fun on Capitol Hill!! We're around there shooting street style sometime - maybe we'll run into you!
