Weekender Bags

I’m home! Thank goodness I am home. While I’m having some semi-serious kitten withdrawals, the Space Needle is back my view and the 100 year old walls around me are doing a so-so job of keeping me inside, and damn it feels good to be home.

That being said, while the suburbs of Seattle [where I sat cats (?)] are… glamorous in their own way, I still have the cliché late-winter dream of running off to somewhere sunny. Maybe not even sunny – just by the water. I don’t have to work, I don’t have to clean, I can just sit around. I couldn’t take that lifestyle for more than a day or two, though… Hence my sudden and demanding need for a weekend bag.

It’s bigger than a purse, smaller than a duffel. I’m attracted to vintage-looking florals & prints lately, just like the rest of the fashion-loving world, and Accessorize just released their Spring 2011 line of bags that perfectly quench the craving.

Paradise Tropical Weekender Bag, $79

Excellent colors mixed with interesting patterns and graphic touches like the bright fuchsia in the flowers… Then, the baby blue comes in to cool things down a little bit. I love these colors mixed with the light tan of the leather strap!

Lindsay: Probably watching Netflix.

  • Ohmygod. That Weekender just became my next new love and thing to pursue. Why must you always post beautiful items? :) Seriously though. I will need that bag. I will flip couches and coinstar whatever falls out. I will get that bag.

    • SO GLAD YOU LIKE IT! When I saw it, it was kind of a "this is so wrong it's right" situation... I'm glad I'm not alone in HAVING TO HAVE IT IMMEDIATELY.

  • so pretty! get it so you can call it a puffle bag, which would be the cutest sartorial portmanteau ever (I hate the term "jeggings." hate hate hate. it makes me cringe).
