Comfort-Focused Wedges for Spring

Remember eons ago, old-school B&B readers, when we had a little column called “Comfort Does Not = Ugly” dedicated to comfort shoes? Remember that? Well, since then we’velo publicly adopted a “pajamas as fashion” lifestyle, but that doesn’t change the fact that the gospel needs spreading.

Comfortable shoes do not have to be ugly.

This isn’t a theory, it’s a fact. Brands have been working extra hard to bring their orthopedic-appeal into the realm of “I’d wear that.” Not all ergo shoes needs to be gigantic, rubber blocks attached to your feet. Brands like Aerosoles, Børn, Söfft, and Clarks are all doing some really fun, really trendy things with their super-comfortable shoes.

I don’t know about you, but when the weather warms up, I want to walk everywhere. Walk to the waterfront, walk to festivals, walk to the shopping district… Walk! Comfortable shoes are not uncool in my world – not one bit.

Here are some springy wedges I’ve been ogling lately…

Aerosoles Well-Wisher Wedge: $69

There’s something about this toebox that has me fanning myself and clutching my pearls. I’m not a bow girl, by any means, but I would wear these in nearly every color they offer (that would be five).

Clarks Fiddle Wedge: $89.99

This is a great basic wedge for the new season. This height & style looks just as good with jeans as it does with your favorite skirt (long or short!).

Dr. Scholl’s Jasper Boots: $125

I am obsessed with these boots! I want to wear them everywhere, with everything. The color is absolutely perfect, and the height is wonderful for everything from jeans to dresses. Wishlisted!

Dr. Scholl’s Talony Wedge: $50.50

We’re going a little nuts about this color… The pastel trend plus the green trend… All in a springy little strappy package.

Aerosoles Plushed Velvet T-Strap Wedges: $55.30

I love the idea of a silver wedge with an emerald green dress!

Indigo by Clarks Sky Reno Wedge: $110

The suede ankle knot is a super cute touch! I could get down with some grey wedges, for sure.

Sofft Besame Wedges: $115

I was torn between posting a picture of the coral version of the cream/gold version because they are both so gorgeous & energetic! The coral next to the pale pink-y tan really helps neutralize the brightness so it has a wider range of wearability!

Lindsay: Probably watching Netflix.

  • My favorite wedges are dying (white canvas with a knot detail) so I've been itching for some new ones. My other wedges are...shall we say...a bit dramatic? 5-6 Inches or so. Yeaaah.

    • Oh girl. You are so lucky that today just HAPPENS to be... well, a special day. Stay tuned! ;)

PS PICS OF STRIPPER HEELS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN
