Every year, it seems, I go through this phase. All I can think about is motorcycle boots. I’m unwilling to sacrifice my aesthetic in order to wade through the rainy & snowy seasons, and it seems like the only perfect pair of motorcycle boots comes with a $250 price tag – which I will never succumb to without my lawyer present. This year is no different. I am scraping every single website in my arsenal (oh, you don’t even know the half of it) in a desperate need to fulfill a long-overdue style ideal. It’s making crazy in the best way.
A big part of the reason I don’t have any yet: I am SO PICKY. I have an idea shaft height, toe shape, material quality, hardware and sole style in mind and, as a Taurus, I am usually unwilling to waver – and this time is no different than usual.

Report “Greene” Boots, $59; Arturo Chiang Rugged Bootie, $48.99; Back Bay Boot from Modcloth, $59.99
These are some of the most timeless, classic, and versatile boots you could possibly own. Anything you wear with them will immediately look effortless (sorry if that word makes your ears bleed) & appropriate, no matter the situation (save for sweats, but we’ve got other problems if you’re trying to rock sweat pants and motorcycle boots, you know what I mean?).

Big Buddha Cabin Boots, $79.95; Big Buddha Case Boots, $89.95
I also have an extremely soft spot for tallet motorcycle boots. That being said, I always feel like black black black boots are a bit too severe & limiting for my current tastes, but brown on the other hand… It’s just soft enough, but still in a super-tough shape. It’s all about balance!

My favorite are the Back Bay Boot from Modcloth. They look just a tiny bit more relaxed to me for some reason.
I definitely see what you're saying - the boot shaft looks less rigid! Love the sole on those, too.
I have these: http://www.target.com/p/women-s-mossimo-katherine-harness-boot-brown/-/A-11197588
in brown and LOVE them! They're very comfortable. I usually wear with jeans, but have one pair of olive pants that have a wide enough leg that I can slide over the shaft. Just tried them on yesterday with my skinnies, and liked that look too.
I love the design on these boots. Rugged and timeless.
