If you were to look in my jewelry… area in my closet, you would probably be pretty bored. I’m horrible at collecting jewelry, and I’ve been at odds with non-shoe accessories for years. Something about their inherent versatility overwhelms me to the point that I freeze up in their presence. My walks through the bags’n’jewelry section of most stores is brisk and short for fear of getting sucked into the black hole of scarves, rings and wrist watches.
When jewelry is forced upon me, on the other hand, I am coaxed out of my comfort zone by the knowledge that I have to get something… That makes leaving empty-handed a virtual impossibility – sure I still have to pick which things I’ll accept into my fashion life, but being forced to pick something is a lot easier than trusting myself to pick the right thing. You know? (Yes, I’m over-thinking it, what else is new?)
Choies forced such a choice upon me and I couldn’t be happier. I used the opportunity to bravely pick up two necklaces – each entirely different from the other, in hopes that something would click within me and make me understand how to pursue a life with accessories – without panic attacks.
I was 99% sure my damask obsession was gone, and then this happened. This necklace was a brilliant acquisition because it adds a spiky, graphic air horn to just about anything you wear. I tried it with a white tee and it was perfect, but I really like it with neon.
Incredible, right?
Honestly, when I selected it from Choies online store, I thought that it was going to be made from plastic. Turns out, its made from a lightweight metal that sounds a tiny bit like bells when you jostle the necklace around, and has the look of cast iron (but of course, isn’t). I liked that you could see the connective jump rings between each of the many (many, many) different pieces that make up this necklace. Thanks to the many pieces, the entire thing is really flexible, so it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing an ornate sandwich board around your neck.

I’ll post up the other one I got next week – it’s sure to ~*spark*~ you’re interest. (Cue uncomfortable nervous laughter.)

Beautiful necklace, but I NEED to know what you are wearing on your lips! If that shade looks half as pretty on me as it does on you I'm wearing it every day! :)
Oh, thank you!! It's my favorite and I DO wear it just about every day! It's called "Grappa" by Borghese. It's really awesome, and I definitely recommend it!

Thanks a million! :)
which lipstick brand and color you are wearing?
I am 99% sure I am wearing Carnivale Red by Borghese! http://fave.co/2f4cDXn
It's a really nice medium red, and that lipstick formula is really hydrating. I used that shade up a while ago (and also Grappa which is another gorgeous Borghese shade) but I seem to remember them staying put pretty well. :)
