I spent the past weekend at Emerald City Comicon, aka ECCC, aka EC3, aka Festival of Lines 2013. That’s right, my entry into March was full of Poison Ivys, Finn from Adventure Time, and approximately one thousand clones of The Doctor (very few none of which were as dreamy, IMO).
Not so bad, if I do say so, myself.
There were lots of superhero photo ops.
The authors of the awesome webcomic, Cyanide & Happiness!
I had lots of fun and took lots of cool pictures of things like Klingons talking to Pomeranians and other things you never think about. I will link to more pics as soon as they’re on my personal blog!
In other news…
This photo of Beyonce is insane.
I’m all behind on my favorite blogs because I was MIA all weekend! Fortunately, I’ve not been too lazy to watch videos…
Videos & Media
A great Seattle band, Hey Marseilles, is recording a new album and made this very cool video to promote it!
This is a parody of Macklemore’s Thrift Shop called “Pot Shop” – it sounds silly and is probably NSFW, but it is discusses a very relevant and important issue!
This episode of Very Mary Kate (a spoof by College Humor) makes fun of perfectly styled Instagram photos.
Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson are making an album together called The Uncluded! Eeee!
Clench thy quaking loins – Ryan Gosling’s band, Dead Man’s Bones, is not bad and he looks very good with a guitar. You’ve been warned.

High Five /\ to you for your grey love! I am another grey fan. :)
I am jealous of your ECCC attendance. I seriously have to get there in the future.
Sharing a music link with you: The Flying Spiders

They are a Spokane Hip Hop Orchestra that I just discovered and that are pretty decent.
Yess!! If you ever come over for a nerd convention, please let me know! I'd love to run into you somewhere. :)
Checking out The Flying Spiders right now despite the horror their name inflicts. Hip Hop Orchestra sounds good! ...And redeeming for Spokane! ;) Thank you very much!
I will let you know if i come over for ECCC in the future. If you ever wander east to my area let me know. I can point you to fun little shops and we could run into each other while avoiding over 30 year old men on dirt bikes (a staple of Spokane). :)
