Has it finally turned over to summer? I’m wondering if my early birthday gift is an early seasonal shift… For the last week it’s been alllllll the way up in the 70s! Yeah, go Seattle, keep that bar low and you’ll have yourself some happy and pasty tech industry workers in as early as May!

If you know me at all, you know I have a huge passion for burlesque! Recently, one of my favorite Seattle performers, Sydni Deveraux, did a great interview for Pincurl Magazine. (She also runs a lifestyle Tumblr called Veggie Powered Stripper!)
Speaking of fabulous strippers, I just found out that a Josephine Baker biopic may be in the works!! I will be first in line for that ish. Signs are pointing to Rihanna for the lead…
I have immense amounts of respect for classic tailors!
BY THE WAY, not that any of us (us of course being the collective Broke & Beautiful community) would willingly wear anything from Abercrombie & Fitch now that we are not 17 years old, but the asshole CEO (yeah I’m going there, sorry) recently explained very clearly that he would prefer that fat chicks and poor people not wear Abercrombie & Fitch clothing. It, like, messing with their image. Barf. In light of this horrible public shaming of Most People, Tumblr has been coming up with some good ideas, like this one:
There are [sic]s all over this, so just help me out and pretend they’re visible.
“since abercrombie an fitch destroys its unsold clothes and wont donate bc poor people wearing their clothes gives them a bad image i say everyone should donate as much abercrombie and fitch brand clothing that you have to homeless shelters so you can simultaneously piss off a shitty company and help those in need”
Do it!
Peanut Butter Lava Cookies – totally a thing.
Want to check out some medieval lingerie? Archaeologists have recently discovered some lady garments from the 15th century!
This summer is all about thrift shopping for me – I’m checking out Elsie & Emma’s thrifting tips on A Beautiful Mess!
TheHunt.com is a website that lets you post a picture of something you found online and want to buy, but can’t find the source of! You can ask people to find you something similar, or an exact match. Pretty interesting!
Leave ’em if ya got ’em!
