Cuisinart on Gilt: The Best Kitchen Tools Under $50

Remember Gilt? I kind of forgot about them, admittedly. That all ended once I accidentally discovered that they were selling high quality Cuisinart kitchen tools for up to 70% off.  I’m not sure if this is an all-the-time thing or if I’m just in the right place at the right time, but they’ve got dozens of items up. I’ve picked through them and found the best deals on what I consider the best Cuisinart products for $50 and under in the sale.

8 Best Cuisinart Products on Gilt

Cuisinart Mandoline, $80 $50
If you’ve never had a mandoline in your life, you’re about to level-up in kitchening. This little thing is amazing for small spaces and apartment kitchens because it does big jobs and then folds up and fits in a drawer. This Cuisinart mandoline, in particular, is extra cool because it has all the different sizes built into a dial on the side. These are so good for making perfect-looking salads with cucumbers or peppers – and of course, potato chips! I’ve wanted to make potato chips ever since I saw these photos by Luxirare.

Cuisinart Over-the-Sink Colander, $40 $25
Here is another incredible space-saver and kitchen maximizer. Turning your sink into what is essentially extra counter space is such a game changer. Especially if you live in an area that has a killer summer farmer’s market where the bunches of greens are gigantic and definitely unwashed. The best part about using an over-the-sink is that you can dump stuff in there, and the longer you leave it, the more dry it will get. Laziness and space efficiency FTW! And once your whatever-lettuce is done draining…

Cuisinart 6QT Stock Pot, $99 $30
Kitchen essential alert! You can do so many things with a good, solid stock pot – veggie scrap vegetable stock, perhaps?! But also steaming vegetables, especially larger ones like beets and tamales. (Okay, tamales aren’t vegetables, but they deserve to be properly cooked!) This holds 6 quart which means 1.5 gallons which means you could also make your own paneer with this thing! I swear I posted this because I believe in stock pots and not as an excuse to promote my own food & recipe posts. I swear.

Cuisinart 6 Piece Baking Set, $136 $50
If you have even the tiniest interest in baking, this is literally all you need to make pretty much anything. The only thing that’s missing is a mini muffin tin and a spring form pan, if you ask me! But as far as layer cakes, cupcakes, jelly roll cakes, and pound cakes, spice cakes, coffee cakes… What were we talking about? Anyway, these pans are going to last you a long, long time – at least five years. I mean it when I say this is a complete collection of baking pans. At $50, this is a total steal!

Cuisinart 12pc. Color Knife Set with Blade Guards, $50 $25
Not only are colorful knives a welcome addition to any cute kitchen, but these will actually work for you. All of the mandatory kitchen knives are present, from the paring knife to the bread knife. The green, Santoku-style knife is my favorite for cutting pretty much everything, except meats – then I’d go for the blue or purple. Isn’t saying “green knife” way easier than asking someone to get you “the 10″ chef’s knife”? Six knives for $25 is a good deal, and the fact that they’re Cuisinart makes them even more valuable!

Cuisinart Spice and Nut Grinder, $75 $45
This thing is a beast. Unless you’re a fanatic about Indian food or just love making your own spice blends, this probably isn’t on your “must-haves” list. I, on the other hand, love to toast and grind my own spices. It’s extremely rewarding to my olfactory sense, first of all, but also it makes everything taste better. Buying spices pre-ground often diminishes the flavor and can cost more for dumb reasons like “they ground it” aka “they ruined it.” Having a heavy duty spice grinder means grinding nuts and spices, sure, but also making powdered coconut sugar, blitzing oats for gluten-free cookies, and tons of other super fun stuff!

Okay, don’t kill me – I had to include these two items for $60 because they are so good and I legitimately own both of them.

Cuisinart Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker, $110 $60
The first thing I made in this was a dairy-free chocolate “ice cream,” and it was so much fun. It was also surprisingly fast! I want to make a full-cream, full-fat ice cream the next time I use it. You can also make sorbet with this guy, and I’m surrounded by so mcany blackberries right now. I can’t stop thinking about it.

Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender, $110 $60
Hi, remember how much I love the Cuisinart Smart Stick? It can do so, so, so, so many amazing things. That measuring cup alone can assist you in making some of the coolest food! My favorite thing to make with that stick blender and measuring cup is mayonnaise. Yeah, basic, but 100% better than the cheapest store-bought mayonnaise, and it’s even cheaper to make than to buy. Also salsas, sauces, smoothies, other s-foods… It’s a wonder tool.

That’s it! Those are the best products in the Gilt Cuisinart sale, according to me – a cheap-ass food snob.
