Happy Gift Card Week, everyone! Okay, this time, I am actually making up a shopping holiday – or in this case, a shopping week – whereas Green Monday is a very real thing that I did not make up.
Gift Card Week is something I came up with last year once I saw the extreme influx of sales that started immediately after Christmas. I deduced that it was an attempt for retailers to entice newly minted gift card holders to shop the rest of their winter product away so they can make room for all the spring gear that will be coming in soon.
Seriously, within hours of Christmas officially ending, my inbox started filling up with emails from affordable fashion stores claiming they were dropping prices even further than they were before! Whether or not that’s true is up for debate, but the bottom line is… well, the bottom line! There are some low prices on some great stuff, so spend that holiday cash whether you earned it or not!
Budget-Friendly Fashion & Home: After Christmas Sales
Old Navy: 30% off of all regular priced styles!
Code: TREAT
Expires: 12/28
Old Navy: 50% off of jeans for the whole family on Monday only!
Old Navy: Up to 75% off the whole store & up to 60% off new arrivals. Clearance has products starting at $4!
My favorite things from the sale? These Mid-Rise Pixie Ankle Jeans in Navy Floral, $34.94 $25.
They’re more pretty than obnoxious, and that’s my style in a nutshell.
Nastydress: Extra 15% off of all items!
Code: XMAS15
Expires: 12/28
Nastydress: 50% off outerwear
This is the perfect time to pick up a trendy jacket or hyped-up coat style you’ve been thinking about trying. I’m in the market for a wool coat, and I’ve been thoroughly romanced by this Wool-blend Double Breasted Fur Collar Peacoat, $101.68 $50.83.
Not only is the color fantastic, but it looks like the faux fur collar can be removed for an even simpler, more sleek look.
Colourpop: 20% off of everything in the Holiday 2016 collection!
Code: FAREWELL
Expires: …when everything is gone!
See the full Colourpop Holiday 2016 collection here, and pick up your favorite! I suggest picking up some of the holiday liquid lipstick releases, Wild Nothing is a favorite!
Wild Nothing is the far left, and Perky is on the far right. They’re really similar, but I need them both.
Lush: Buy one, get one free on tons of items, plus 50% off select bulk holiday items.
YES, A REAL LUSH SALE! They almost never have sales, so this is extremely exciting. I would recommend everything in this “What to Buy from LUSH” post, but since this BOGO event is only on select items, I’d pick up this vegan, champagne-inspired Bubbly shower gel, $9.95, and this Fairy Dust Sparkling Dusting Powder, $6.95 FREE.
Everything in the 50% off department is full of Christmas- and holiday-themed products. They’re good, too, but I can’t resist getting two for the price of one!
Target: Extra 20% off clearance clothing, accessories, and shoes!
Code: EXTRA20
Expires: 12/31
Target: 30% off of rugs on Monday & Tuesday
Target: Extra 10% off of all bed & bath products!
Code: BEDBATH
Expires: 12/31
I can’t stay away from Target’s clothing. Their designs are just so easy to envision in my closet. Every time I go there, I find at least 10 things that I want to wear immediately, and this time, I was romanced by this Textured Fit & Flare Floral Skater Dress, $24.99 $19.99.
ZARA: Major markdowns on fashion for men & women, and free shipping on orders over $50.
This is another rarity: a ZARA sale! I don’t envy the guy or gal that tries to sift through this inventory, there are so many beautiful products that it’s going to be very difficult to select your favorites.
I think I like this at least 50% because it reminds me of that scandalous J.Lo dress, but purified.
Lily Boutique: 40% off of everything, site-wide!
Code: Dec1640Off
Expires: 12/28
We played with Lily Boutique years ago and have remained in love with their cute, girly clothing and accessories. They take the concept of simplicity to the most feminine place and come up with adorable things like this Heart of Gold necklace, $16 $9.60.
Zazzle: Up to 60% off select products.
Code: AFTERXMASFUN
What should you get from Zazzle? You could redo your makeup storage with customized mugs, of course, but Zazzle has so much more to offer than that. Obviously, customizing is their jam, but they have beautiful, pre-designed products, too. I like their maps, particularly this Vintage Sheet Music World Map, $63.17 $31.59.
It’s so much more than a poster, it’s a piece of art! It even comes on a wrapped canvas which adds dimension. It makes it look way fancier than it would look as a plain ol’ poster.
BH Cosmetics: 35% off select items!
Code: HAUL
Expires: 12/28
There’s a bunch of stuff that’s excluded from this sale like liquid lipsticks and products made in collaboration with Beauty Gurus, so I recommend brushes. I have three of their eyeshadow brushes and so far, they’ve been really good to me. I would suggest picking up this BH Eye Essentials 7-piece Brush Set, $9.50 $6.18.
Wayfair: Up to 70% off in the clearance department! Includes kitchen tools, decor, furniture, lighting, rugs, cookware & dining gear, recreation, and more!
Expires: 12/28-1/3 (some are flash sales)
Of all of the beautiful home-focused things in the Wayfair sale, I can’t stop thinking about these beautiful Ankara Queen Sized Flannel Sheets, $129.99 $35.99.
Not only is the pattern beautiful, but flannel sheets are my bread & butter in the wintertime. You will never be cold in bed again! Until you want to be. Plus they are literally almost $100 off. I mean, come on.
6pm: Up to 60% off already discounted products & free shipping on 2+ items.
There are lots of great things at 6pm, and I always gravitate towards their shoes. Of course, there are tons of good deals on gorgeous, brand-name footwear, but I’m challenging myself. I’m heading to the apparel section and gawking at these distressed Mavi Emma Jeans, $148 $39.99.
They have a perfectly tapered, skinny leg and a deep, indigo wash. I have been wanting to pay for some ripped up jeans for a while because I don’t trust myself to distress my own. I love them paired with fancy, formal heels.
Indigenous: 35% off of clearance clothing!
Code: 35XTRA
This is for the eco-fashion fiends that still hang out from back in my ethical fashion days! They sell fair trade clothing and fashion made from organic fibers. I love a brand that aims to be sustainable and affordable at the same time! They have something that looks like a baseball t-shirt, but elevated to an ethical, sustainable level: Indigenous Mix Knit Raglan Sweater, $198 $64.35.
