Welcome to Earth Week!

Photo by ME! That’s right! ME!

April 22nd is officially Earth Day around the (nation? world?) and I thought that B&B should follow suit. This is the first “theme week” of many (hopefully), so let me know what you think of the concentrated topics and info relating to this week’s theme: Earth And Junk.

This week will be full of eco-friendly products and ideas, sustainable fabrics and materials, charity-driven organizations relating to (affordable) fashion, independent designers and artists, and of course – high-fashion taste on a high street budget.

Since we’re kicking the week off with this friendly, informational message, I’d love to ask:

What do you want to know about eco-friendly/Earth-friendly fashion?

I’ll do my best to include as many of your requests as possible in this week’s content!

xoxo.

  • Woo hoo! I was thinking about doing an "Earth Day" week, and then realized that since most of my blog is dedicated to that sort of thing, I should probably just do an Earth Day post.

Here's the thing, though: I'm really, REALLY excited to see your take on eco-friendly stuff. In fact, I kind of can't wait.

  • You took an excellent picture!
What I want to know about ethical fashion:
    - Which designers should I be looking for?
    - What do they take into consideration? Yes, eco friendly fabrics, but what about animals? As a vegetarian I am always on the lookout for non-leather/suede and definitely no fur items. Taking care of our creatures is definitely Earth-friendly, IMHO.
    - Which designers should we be aware of that are really NOT taking care of the environment?
