International Women’s Day is on March 8, and this year, it feels extra celebratory. After the incredible movements that women have put into motion over the last few years, International Women’s Day means is more powerful than ever. I mean, did you see the Oscars last Sunday? The amount of times I was left breathless was record-breaking. From the incredibly and bizarrely eloquent Frances McDormand to the brilliant and hilarious Tiffany Haddish, the women were there to represent. Ugh, it was so awesome!
Here, we’re celebrating those who make our community of innovative, thrifty, and clever women so inspiring: the broke girls. The secondhand sirens, the DIY divas, the coupon queens, and the shopportunists. We teamed up with our favorite online thrift store, ThredUp, to introduce you to the top 30 fashionistas of ThredUp, and give you a chance to shop their closets for charity.
Who are these mysterious and fashionable women?
Over in the data brain of ThredUp, the data science team crunched the numbers on the most prolific ThredUp contributors. These women consistently send in the most fashionable and desired garb, and you get to shop the closets of the top 30. The best part is… 100% of the proceeds are headed straight to the empowering non-profit, Girls, Inc.
These 30 women are from all walks of life, but possess a barrier-breaking love of fashion. You might even recognize some of them, but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re just like you and me. From entrepreneurs to journalists to Hollywood actresses to moms, these chicks have as much brain cred as they do style cred. These 30 closets are a tribute to women and represent the intelligence, beauty, and diversity that we all bring to the universal table.
Let’s take a look at some of these inspiring gals:

These eight women are obviously phenomenal, but we’re barely scratching the surface! I’m not kidding when I say that this list is brimming with talent and diversity. It’s an amazing campaign to participate in, I can see why these women jumped at the opportunity. They even got a freakin’ Bachelorette involved! As an added bonus, these women shared crucial style hacks in a blog post over on ThredUp!
