How To Literally ROCK a Babydoll Dress

Babydoll dresses are a delicate arena of fashion… You don’t want to look pregnant, you don’t want to look naked and you especially don’t want to look 5 years old.

The key to babydoll dresses is balance: spicy and sweet, edgy and soft, etc. Babydoll dresses are best served fairytale-esque, so don’t skimp on the girlyness! Take a look at the accessories we chose for our favorite babydoll dresses, and experiment away!

Nine West Quilt Pattern Dress from Macy’s $124 $37.20
Frenzeee Classic Satchel$75.00 $62.50
Urban Outfitters Passerine Feather Necklace$24
Urban Oufitters Leather Dreamer Wrap Bracelet$28 $19.99
Steven by Steve Madden “Ellisha” Boot (Pre-Order)$229.95 [You know it’s okay to splurge sometimes, especially when those boots are THAT HOT!]
Lulu’s Earth Mother Turquoise Ring$9

I got on to a bit of a “western rock chic” kick once I saw this dress. It’s not the poofy babydoll style we’re all used to, but the empire waist and the length (or lack thereof!) puts it in the running.

This would be a cute daytime look, or a late lunch outfit. I love the chocolate brown purse – dreamy! And I’ve obviously been captivated by those boots

Let’s see if we can’t find something a little more polished and inexpensive.

Lulu’s Martha My Dear dress in Black$56
Madden Girl “Sapphire” in Black Paris$59.95
La Regale Rhinestone Topped Satin Clutch$37
e.l.f Eye Brightening Quad in Drama$1
Dark Towers ring from All The Rage$21 $18.90

This works because we’re balancing out the ultra-bold and feminine pink florals in the dress with extra sleek and chic accessories that are 100% structured. That way, the bright pink will shine through while being supported by super understated, yet classy and strong accessories.

Show me what you got, babydoll!

xoxo.

Probably watching Netflix.
