Kirstie Alley & Her Assistant: Leather Jackets & Attitudes

I’m so #teamkirstie. I pulled these photos from an unfortunate article about how Kirstie is “gaining the weight back! Oh noes!” Um, she looks fine. Actually, she looks really good. She and her assistant are having a bit of a moment – at least for me.

Yeah. That’s Kirstie Alley and people are all up in arms because of her shape? Please. She looks amazing. And so does her cute assistant! I love their leather jackets – which are probably real. Sad. Expensive and icky. (But probably really, really soft and warm…)

Look at her little peek of burgundy tights! How cute is she, seriously!?

I’m not a huge fan of her boots, but whatever.

These moto-style jackets are obviously not new on the scene, and after acquiring a faux-suede version for myself, I can definitely see the flattering aspects of a richer fabric. But leather, obviously, is out of the question for at least 5 different reasons – number one being EXPENSIVE. Fortunately, things like vegan leather jackets and faux leather jackets and not-leather-but-looks-like-leather leather jackets exist.

Ambition Faux Leather Moto Jacket | $48.90

Okay, it’s official: I want all of my “natural” fibers (faux leather, silk, etc.) to be stone-grey-beige.

Bagatelle Asymmetrical Jacket | $89.60

Super-high style on a shoestring – these are my favorite finds!

Romeo & Juliet Couture Faux Leather Jacket | $95

Not only is this marked down from $174, but you can also snag another 40% off today only (11/10/2011) making this bad boy only $57.

Do you love faux leather jackets? Let’s be real: Are you on #TeamKirstieAlley or not?

Probably watching Netflix.

I prefer the real thing. Real leather is extremely beautiful. I don’t care for synthetics. I think Christie looks great too. I like my jackets longer than how they’re being worn. I don’t like the short cut off style because it will make a person look heavier. I don’t find them flattering at all but fattening.
