Forever 21: Moral Issue or Financial Savior?

So, I rarely feature Forever 21 clothing on my site, because I’m having a bit of an internet, moral struggle. Forever 21 hit the market at the “just-off-the-runway style for bargain prices”, and when they said “bargain”, they really meant bargain.

But, in doing so, they’re literally stealing the designs of other major-label designers. Literally. To the T.

The case you see above? On the left, Philip Lim’s blue frock, Net-a-Porter.com for $595. On the right, Forever 21’s :”Rosette Dress”, $29.90.

How many differences do you see? Not too many, except the price, right?

On the right, Christian Louboutin has once again created something wonderful, red sole included, for $775. On the left, Forever 21 has ripped off his exact design (down to the tab on the zipper pull) in crappy plastic for $21.80.

Hmm.

Left, Phillip Lim, $320. Right, Forever 21, $22.80.

You get it, right?

So what do I do? A Broke & Beautiful fashion addict, diving and dying for the latest bargain… But should I compromise my morals to achieve my favorite designer looks? What do you think?
