The scene: a typical Seattle pre-Spring day. It’s cold, it’s windy, and at any moment it could rain…but the sky is clear and the sun is bright.
Which means I should wear a coat; I just don’t wanna.
One winter, I had this trip planned. To Mexico. You know, where it’s warm and sunny and instead of freezing in a coat, people get tans. I was determined: I would get a base tan at home, go to Mexico, and come home all dark, an Americanized Beauty Standard.
And that winter, I found out I look better pale.
Which is awesome, because it’s (a) healthier, (b) cheaper, and (c) easily fits into my “sitting inside on a laptop” lifestyle.
And I look hot in cream.
