We are officially on the cusp of one of the greatest holidays of the year, and it’s time to start getting spooky. (Not like anyone on the east coast needs anymore adrenaline rushes…)
Some of you may know that I am a certified Spotify addict. It is playing almost constantly throughout my day – all the way until I fall asleep listening to Fleet Foxes on my phone through their Android app. In addition to my undying loyalty to this music provider, I also set aside hours and hours to create playlists with High Fidelity-esque attention to detail. I have over 50 listed playlists under my account – and that’s just the number of playlists that I consider completed-enough-for-publishing. Trust me, I take this stuff seriously.
So my October playlist was going to be a big deal. I am way too elitist & proud for any kind of Halloween anthem or other obvious choices… It actually took me 2 weeks to put this playlist together, and perfect the order – and I’m still wondering if it needs a little bit of rearranging. I will instead remind myself that people will probably put it on shuffle anyway, so it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter. LET IT GO IT DOESN’T MATTER.
With great hesitation and about 89% pride, I present… Octoberist.
