One look through ZARA’s April lookbook has me craving flowy, detailed, and silky everything. Their lineup for spring and summer has a relaxed, laid-back vibe, and there are tons of details and styles that borrow components of kimonos, sarongs, and minimalist design.
I get pretty forlorn after seeing all of the “global-inspired” collections that are basically full of maimed cultural prints and cringe-worthy symbolism. The way I see it, ZARA approached the idea of “global” by incorporating bohemian influences from all over into one line for a springy, summery experience that doesn’t read as “tacky attempt at being ~global~.”
Oriental Print Shirt, $59.90
Light, neutral bases provide a really nice foundation for the vibrant color details. I’m growing really fond of intricate prints on clothing lately, and I’m loving the Asian-art-inspired motif.
