First, there was BB cream – that stands for “beauty balm,” I guess – and now there is CC cream which, according to Stila, means “color correcting” and that is something that I am definitely interested on my 5:45am wakeup days (which happens at least once a week).
Color Correction mostly just means “making everything a similar color without making you look like a mannequin” (like some concealers and foundations do). The green in the center of the stick helps to neutralize red tones, which can be found on my face around my nose and occasionally on my cheeks. And under my eyes. And some other places around my face, you get my point.
This is easy enough to swipe on and blend with your fingers, though some makeup artists might insist on the hygiene of using brushes. I’m gonna be real with you when I say that I use my fingers for 80% of my makeup applications. No shame.
I’m not sure why a smattering of CC Cream shades are on sale at Ulta right now, but they’re really on sale, so if you’re looking to try something new in terms of a cosmetic base – try this while it’s on sale for almost 80% off.
